Hi, I’m Danielle Rose*, and this is my website, Serenitatis**.
I live in Oregon, but I’m from California. I have too many creative pursuits, but my primary focus is on art, fiction-writing, and goldsmithing. I love spaceflight and astronomy; find my blog at silver-rockets.blog. I saw two of the last three space shuttle launches—one as a STS-133 #NASATweetup participant. It was fantastic! I also love gemology, architecture, jewelry history, science fiction and fantasy, poetry, and Sailor Moon.
By day, I’m a graphic and web designer—pushing pixels since 1995. (Ugh.) This means, should I be published in future, the book cover department will learn to dread my informed design opinions and suggestions. I will be That Author. 😀
*Before you ask: yes, Rose is my “real” last name. It’s a Scottish clan, with a tartan, and a motto—“constant and true”—and everything. Glad we cleared that up.
**Mare Serenitatis—the Sea of Serenity—is a small lunar mare on the Moon’s near side. It is also the location of the Silver Millennium, the former moon kingdom of Sailor Moon. It was a fitting title for my Sailor Moon fansite, which lived at this domain for most of its 18 years, before it closed in 2015. I couldn’t let the domain go, after all this time—almost 20 years!—so I’m repurposing it here, for the time being.
